Laila

Laila is a 5 year old Anatolian Shepherd and is the mother to Anna and Cairo. She is the leader of the pack and she barks to keep the coyotes and other predators at bay.

FUN FACT: She can effortlessly jump over a 6 foot fence.

Cairo

Cairo is 2 years old and is Anna's older brother. He is the largest dog onsite, and he resembles his mother, Laila, who has the markings of the typical Anatolian Shepherd, to blend in with the sheep herd.

FUN FACT: He loves belly rubs, shoes, and treats. Come give his belly a rub and he'll be your best friend.

Goats

We have a goat herd, who provide us fertilizer, meat, and goat milk. The goats are also an excellent source of fire protection because they eat down the grass and weeds.

FUN FACT: The goats have babies in the spring and summer. Come visit us to meet the baby goats and their mommas!

Anna

Anna is a 1 year old brindle Anatolian Shepherd. She is the youngest of the pack, but don't underestimate her ability to keep the coyotes away. She resembles her father, who also had beautiful brindle coloring.

FUN FACT: She is extremely loving and cries when babies (animals and humans) cry, because she wants to help them. She once brought home a live baby deer that had been separated from her mother, because she wanted to save it.

Chickens

We have many hens and roosters that provide us with fresh eggs. They are kept in a fenced pasture and fed vegetable scraps and grains.

FUN FACT: Fresh eggs taste much better than store-bought eggs and are rich in Vitamin D. They are richer in color, yolk density, freshness, and shell thickness. Come join us to see and taste the difference!
